Australia has some thing for almost every person. From easy vacations to tradition crammed pleasure, there are all types of strategies to take pleasure in Listed below are ten of the should see
My dad had determined we must always tough it this 12 months and took us deep right into a rural location in Australia. We drove for nearly three hours with out seeing all of us else at the dust highway
Based on a reading of Warden, I feel that Trollope is best enjoyed on a quiet leisurely afternoon, without putting any pressure based on one's reading target, or the pace of the story. Definitely one of the gentlest writers that I've read.
I recently downloaded the audio of Barchester Towers, but haven't gotten around to starting it yet. I read the summary though, and it is quite a change from the story-arc of Warden!
I know where you're coming from
Hi Mel! I know exactly where you're coming from in this here LJ entry, when you describe the difficulties in deciding where to go for a leisurely afternoon when you are a blind person. Right now it's hard for me to travel independently, living with my parents in a village with almost non-existent public transport, but when I lived pretty independently in a town during a courseI did some years ago, I didn't get out much on sunny days either, unless I was invited somewhere, had to go and get some course work done, or went to do a bit of shopping on my own. I know people say we should make the most of nice weather, but that's sometimes easier said than done, especially for blind people, or people with any other disability, come to that.
I learned a couple of facts about Henry Hudson:
First, he was an English navigator who explored areas of America for the Netherlands and England.
Second, he was hired by the Dutch East India Company to search for the Northeast Passage.
The Dutch beer navigator is launched this week hooray, #beer!

Pain ran through Jackson’s career –
Colonial settlements are European (primarily British) immigrants that have moved to Australia as colonists or had been sent there as prisoners to be held in a prison colony of which the British government operated several around this time. The Aboriginal tribes were the native Australians who had been inhabiting the land mass for thousands of years. The colonists moved onto the land mass and because of things like resource (water) scarcity, were inevitably making contact with the natives.
Because Australia had no boom industries like mining, logging or cash cropping, these colonists were rather doomed to be less than successful until their economies developed. Then there were the prison colonies that were just outright poor.
This is when the missionaries come in to try to improve people's lives. Depending on what kind of missionary the are, I think conversion to some form of Christianity would probably be in there too.
Blue Cross Blue Shield is supposed to be the best health insurance that anyone can get..
You can get a qote or somethin' at
http://www.bcbs.com
You not supposed to have anything saying that you don't have medicaid anymore. It would be in your records that THEY have access to.
I have had problems too. dirty looks, snotty attitudes from the office personnel, etc. I turn them in when this happens.. There is a number on the wall in your local medicaid office. Make sure the office personnel know you want it and are going to use it (in a subtle way) the next time you get a run around. I did it and when they finally decided to help me they offered to help me get some gas for my car…
Next time don't call a system navigator do the application yourself and take your children to the emergency room to get help. Medicaid is supposed to pay the previous 3 months of medical bills your children may have. The application has a question about previous medical bills. So, there should be no worries about unpaid bill without insurance if you are getting the medicaid.
Make sure that the doctor you want to use gets put on your medicaid card ahead of time. My kids' doctor could not see them until that clinic's name was on the card even though "dr. such and such" was their doc. for check ups, etc. It was a policy of the " such and such" clinics in this area to not see children for any reason if the clinic's name wasn't on the card.
It wasn't the nurses, the docs. etc.
My kids ended up at the emergency room last month when they were sick over this problem.
I feel for ya…
bless you ..
keep on keepin' on
and like someone else said, get a reciept for ALL paperwork that you turn in, it don't matter if its a piece fo paper with a phone number or what.. get a RECIEPT WITH A SIGNED NAME OF ONE OF THE OFFICE PERSONNELS' NAMES SIGNED ON THE RECIEPT.
[The Crescent from what I understand, is a pretty nice place that isn't outrageously priced. It's a two minute walk North of Union Square, 10 minutes from North Beach, 15 minutes from the Embarcadero, 5 minutes from the FiDi. The only "hard" place to get to would be the Mission district (15 minute walk to Van Ness then a 15 minute bus ride, or a ~$10 cab ride). Also, I have heard great things about [Hotel It's not in the best part of town, but not a bad part either. Longer walking distances, but that can be a good thing in SF A month or so ago my parents were able to get great prices at the W by booking through JetBlue when they bought their tickets, but ymmv. If you want great food but can't make it to French Laundry look at - that's probably the second-best restaurant in the Bay Area. Fleur de Lys is very well known, but more traditional in relation to SF fine dining. Michael Mina's new digs in the FiDi has presented me with the best meal that I have ever had, hands-down. I haven't been to Gary Danko, bur from what I understand it will split the difference between MM and Fleur de Lys. Frances is a new kid on the block (just turned 1 year old) and already has a Michelin star in it's pocket (getting a reservation will be difficult). Ame is overrated. Chez Panisse is a quick BART ride out of town, but it's been slipping in reputation for the past couple of years. For less-extravagant meals that are fantastic: * Flour + Water * NOPA (quintessential SF restaurant) * Bar Agricole (brunch & cocktails) * Foreign Cinema * Wexler's (Modern BBQ - pretty unique stuff on the menu) * Delfina * Suppenkuche * Tadich Grill (an SF institution that's been around for decades) Easier fare: * Dottie's True Blue Cafe * Brenda's French Soul Food * Tartine Bakery * Farm:table Nightlife (no clubs on this list; not my thing): * Bourbon and Branch * 15 Romolo * Comstock Saloon * Church Key * Monk's Kettle * La Trappe * Rickhouse Activities: * Take a ferry out to Sausalito with a bike, and cruise the cafes and restaurants out there on a nice day. You can also ride across the Golden Gate bridge if you're up for a longer day, and ferry back * Ferry out to Oakland and check out Jack London Square (just take care to mind ferry and BART closure times) * Walk/bike out from the Golden Gate Bridge (alt longer route: start from Crissy Field or even Fisherman's Wharf) along the Land's End trail to the Sutro Bath ruins. You'll get lots of nice sights in. * Take a leisurely afternoon stroll through the cafes of North Beach * Walk around between Mission and Dolores Park, between 16th and 19th streets. * See if there is an [underground farmer's while you are here * We have a great Symphony and Ballet Company that play/perform often * Museums: Cal Academy of Sciences, Exploratorium, SFMOMA, Legion of Honor if you're in that area; skip the deYoung unless you like their special exhibit (I don't care at all for their permanent collection)
Seeing it compared to Graham Hills lap in 1970, makes his one look like a leisurely Sunday afternoon drive!

Greetings. This truth needs to be emphasized over and over again. We all need to be continuously reminded to look to Jesus as scripture comes to pass. The things coming to pass are going to astonish even the ones who are watching because of their sheer intensity. I think of Peter when Jesus bid him to comer out onto the water. He was fine at first, but then he heard the howling winds and saw the waves towering over his head. At that moment the situation began to get the better of him. The fact that the Lord rescued Peter the second that he called out should be comforting to all of us.
Thanks for this admonition. It cannot be stated enough as this age possibly has more distractions than all of the previous ones combined. Have a blessed evening in Jesus.

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch or Plastic Vortex, a Texas-sized gyre of plastic formed by Ocean currents, has been known and well-document for over a decade. But what about all the plastic in the Atlantic
Researchers are warning of a new blight on the ocean: a swirl of confetti-like plastic debris stretching over thousands of square miles (kilometers) in a remote expanse of the Atlantic Ocean.
The floating garbage – hard to spot from the surface and spun together by a vortex of currents – was documented by two groups of scientists who trawled the sea between scenic Bermuda and Portugal’s mid-Atlantic Azores islands.
Similar patches are thought to exist in the South Atlantic and South Pacific oceans.
I picked up boxing about 4 months ago and started SL 5×5 a month after that. It’s a great combination if you’re trying to put on lean muscle due to the sheer intensity of the cardio. Make sure you lift first on days that you do both or else it’ll kill your SS progression.
There’s something about having a long, leisurely afternoon in the kitchen to prepare a good meal, isn’t there? The process is so deeply satisfying, the results so incredibly delicious.
Ah, nothing like chocolates and ice cream to cleanse the palet after huffing down your “Webster Cigar.”
This was an interesting take on “one stop shopping.” You could have waffles for breakfast, get your haircut, purchase your smokes and you're ready for a leisurely afternoon of billiards with the buds. Afterwards, you could get your suit cleaned so the spouse wouldn't know you frittered away your day.
All within a quarter block.

Oceans back when the world was flat to become Lamanites and Nephites???
Shame! Shame! Shame! How else could the Incas, Aztecs and Eskimos get here.
Besides, it was all recorded in “Reformed Egyptian” on gold plates. Even Jesus
stopped by for awhile. Of course he smelled bad having begun to decay after being
dead for awhile. Too bad Mr. Maroni brought the evidence back to heaven. Else we'd
all be 10%ing, wearing magic skivies and Maxwell House and Coca Cola would
be out of business.
puerto rico…looks like a historically interesting place to visit…lucky you to see these places through your music..cheers with all my love
Authorities declared two flooded farming regions in southwestern Australia natural disaster zones Monday as residents in one town nervously watched a rising river in hopes that it wouldn’t break its levees. Parts of Coonamble and Bourke districts in New South Wales, several hundred miles northwest of Sydney, have been isolated by floodwaters since heavy rains last week. While meteorologists said the worst of the rain was over, rivers and reservoirs were still rising from the extra water, and Coonamble’s Castlereagh River was expected to peak later Monday. New South Wales state Premier Kristina Keneally declared the two districts disaster zones Monday, entitling them to state emergency funds including loans and subsidies. "That will provide much needed longer term help to residents, primary producers, business owners and councils," Keneally said while on a tour of Coonamble. "It will help them to rebuild." On Sunday, emergency officials advised 1,200 residents in Coonamble to relocate…
